3. Officials to distribute oral rabies vaccine baits in Georgia beginning in late October (wdef.com) — Dalton will be one of several northwest Georgia cities where helicopters drop oral rabies vaccine baits for raccoons around October 7, 2026, as part of a USDA effort to curb rabies.
