• Metro Atlanta deputy suffers broken jaw, concussion after detainee attack (wsbtv.com) — A deputy at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center in Marietta suffered a broken jaw and concussion after being attacked by a detainee who is a murder suspect awaiting extradition to Tennessee. The sheriff says the deputy is in good spirits and expected to recover, while investigators review what happened and jail staff are credited with quickly restoring order and protecting others.
