• Metro Atlanta school superintendent covers college application fees for all high school seniors (wsbtv.com) — Marietta High School seniors won't have to worry about college application fees this year, as Superintendent Grant Rivera is again using his performance bonus to cover their costs. He'll be at the school on October 9 with his personal credit card for early applications, with any leftover funds going to the Marietta Schools Foundation to further support students.

(cobbcountycourier.com) — If you're thinking about adopting a pet in Marietta, an 8-week-old tabby-and-white kitten named Sugar is currently available at Cobb County Animal Services on Al Bishop Drive. The shelter prefers appointments but welcomes walk-ins, and staff can help you meet Sugar or other animals while guiding you through the adoption process and requirements.

The new owners plan roof replacement, cosmetic upgrades, and other improvements while keeping it functional small-bay space, reinforcing Marietta's role in the region's industrial and logistics market.
