• Teen passenger dies in Columbia County crash; charges pending (augustachronicle.com) — A deadly two-vehicle crash on Jimmie Dyess Parkway in Martinez late Wednesday claimed the life of a 17-year-old passenger from Gwinnett County, according to Columbia County authorities. Investigators say a Chrysler turned left into the path of a Mercedes near the I-20 eastbound on-ramp, and the Chrysler’s teen driver faces pending vehicular homicide and failure-to-yield charges after recovering.
