• Abandoned Roswell Kohl's store transformed into church and event space (cbsnews.com) — A long-vacant Kohl's on a 16-acre site in Roswell has been redeveloped into the permanent home of Eagles Nest Church, complete with a 1,000-seat sanctuary. The new campus also offers meeting rooms and co-working space, with plans to host conferences, concerts, and family-friendly events, turning a once-empty lot into a multiuse hub for the broader Roswell community.
   

• Roswell council scales back proposed tax rate increase (appenmedia.com) — Roswell leaders just scaled back a proposed 2026 property tax hike, setting a tentative 5.9‑mill rate instead of the much higher 7.732 mills first floated, and they'll take final public input Sept. 21 at City Hall. Residents also saw approvals for an expansion of Champions Place group home and a river protection certificate on Indian Springs Drive, shaping development in key Roswell neighborhoods.
   

• FDA recalls six hand soap products over bacterial contamination risk (news4jax.com) — Several foaming hand soaps are being recalled nationwide for possible bacterial contamination, and one of the affected products, Vestis, was distributed by a company headquartered in Roswell. Residents who may have these soaps are urged to stop using them and can contact the manufacturer or report issues directly to the FDA's MedWatch program for guidance and safety reporting.
