• Murder suspect arrested while breaking into vehicles in Smyrna, police say (11alive.com) — Smyrna police arrested a man wanted for murder after catching him allegedly breaking into vehicles on Spring Road, just a day before this report. Officers say Trey Webb was already sought in connection with a July shooting on Atlanta Road that left a man dead. He now faces the outstanding murder charge along with additional charges tied to the vehicle break-ins.

• Woman demands answers after pit bull kills her dog at Airbnb (wsbtv.com) — A recent stay at a Smyrna Airbnb turned tragic when a pit bull broke through a six-foot wooden fence and killed a guest's emotional support dog in the backyard. Smyrna police and Cobb County Animal Services say the dog had reportedly been trained to act aggressively, and it has now been classified as dangerous but remains on the property as a claimed service animal. The host has since reinforced fencing, while the guest is pressing for stronger protections for visiting families.
