• Waleska church hosts first VBS since pandemic, sees two children trust Christ (christianindex.org) — First Baptist Church in Waleska brought back its Vacation Bible School this summer, drawing about 30 children and celebrating two who chose to profess their faith. The largely older congregation partnered with nearby churches and state Baptist leaders, using an "Illumination Station" theme to reconnect with local families and emphasize children's ministry after the pandemic pause. 
• 2026 Cobb Chamber Sporting Clays Invitational is Nov. 18 (macon.com) — Business and community members can head to Garland Mountain Sporting Clays & Grill in Waleska on Nov. 18 for the Cobb Chamber's Sporting Clays Invitational. The day-long event includes a clays tournament, breakfast, lunch, prizes, and networking, with registration required in advance and limited shotgun rentals available.
