Additional programs at nearby Marietta and Smyrna centers cover grief support, caregiver resources, legal planning, and fitness, all requiring advance registration even when no appointment is needed.
   

• Pair who swindled Shelby Twp. woman out of 100K plead guilty (macombdaily.com) — A 25-year-old man from Powder Springs has pleaded guilty in Michigan to embezzling tens of thousands of dollars from a Shelby Township woman in a government-impersonation scam, alongside a co-defendant from Lawrenceville. Both face probation, restitution requirements exceeding $50,000 each, and the possibility of reduced charges if they fully repay the victim and meet court conditions.
   

• 54 new business licenses issued for unincorporated Cobb County (cobbcountycourier.com) — A new courier company, TD Platinum Courier Service LLC, has been licensed at a Julia Drive address in Powder Springs, adding to 54 new business licenses issued in unincorporated Cobb County. The list spans everything from health services and contractors to salons, bakeries, and tutoring, signaling continued small-business growth around the community.
