• Recycling your computer while keeping your data from thieves (kivitv.com) — A Garden City nonprofit, the Reuseum, is helping residents safely recycle old computers while thoroughly wiping personal data from hard drives. Staff there use multi-pass secure overwrites or physical destruction of drives, then refurbish or recycle remaining parts for reuse and metal recovery. The piece also explains why simple factory resets aren't enough to protect your information.
