• Defendant Found Guilty In 2021 Fatal Shooting of Aurora Man (foxvalleymagazine.com) — A Streator man has been convicted of first-degree murder in the 2021 road-rage shooting that killed 29-year-old Aurora resident Andrew Contreras while he drove near Route 30 in Montgomery with his child and a friend. Kane County prosecutors say the jury also found the defendant personally discharged the gun, adding at least 25 years to a sentence that will be at least 45 years.
