• Barrington sees scaled-down multifamily proposal for Golden Triangle (dailyherald.com) — Barrington officials are weighing a scaled-down multifamily plan for the Golden Triangle, now proposing 106 units, pocket parks, and stronger ties to downtown instead of the original 223-unit concept. Trustees voiced mixed concerns about density and traffic but general interest in redeveloping the Liberty and Hough site, with construction targeted for next spring if approvals move forward.
   

• High school scores for Sept. 15 (dailyherald.com) — Barrington fans can catch up on a big night of Broncos sports, with boys soccer edging Buffalo Grove and girls volleyball and golf also posting wins. The roundup also lists today's cross country meet at Ron Beese Park and several Barrington-area golf and flag football events, helping local families plan which games to attend or follow.
