$1M Powerball Ticket Sold At Jewel-Osco In McHenry County

SPRING GROVE, IL — Check those Powerball tickets: A $1 million winner was sold at a Spring Grove Jewel-Osco for Monday night's drawing.

The winning ticket, purchased at the Jewel-Osco at 2401 N. U.S. Highway 12, matched all five regular numbers in the Sept. 28 Powerball drawing: 17, 21, 29, 42 and 49. The ticket missed only the Powerball, which was 7, according to the Illinois Lottery, according to a news release.

The Spring Grove store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the $1 million winning ticket.

The big win was one of three sizable Illinois Lottery prizes awarded in Monday's drawings. An Illinois iLottery player matched four of the five regular Powerball numbers plus the Powerball to win $150,000.

Another online player hit the $500,000 Lucky Day Lotto jackpot in Monday's midday drawing by matching all five winning numbers: 9, 17, 23, 29 and 32.

Combined, the three winning tickets were worth $1.65 million.

Illinois Lottery officials are reminding the winners that they have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes. Lottery officials recommend that anyone holding a winning paper ticket sign the back and keep it somewhere safe until the prize is claimed.

So far this year, Illinois Lottery players have won nearly $1.1 billion from more than 10 million winning Powerball and Lucky Day Lotto tickets statewide, according to the lottery.
