Child Sex Assault Charge, DUI Arrests: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 41-year-old Ingleside man was arrested on a charge of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office’s latest weekly arrest summary.

The arrest was among several reported by the sheriff’s office between Sept. 21 and Sept. 27.

The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

ARRESTS

PREDATORY CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD

Xavier R. Garcia, 41, of Ingleside, was arrested Sept. 25 in the 36100 block of North Eastend Avenue and charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.

Garcia was detained in the Lake County Jail and is due in court Oct. 27.

AGGRAVATED SPEEDING

Victoria Maiarchuk, 25, of Buffalo Grove, was arrested Sept. 25 near Route 21 and Inverrary Lane in unincorporated Deerfield and charged with aggravated speeding.

Maiarchuk was released pending a Branch Court appearance.

DUI

Susan J. Jang, 37, of unincorporated Lincolnshire, was arrested Sept. 25 in the 20500 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in unincorporated Deerfield and charged with DUI-alcohol.

Jang was released pending a Nov. 4 court date.

DUI

Milos Pusonjic, 21, of unincorporated Lake Villa, was arrested Sept. 24 near Route 45 and Washington Street in Third Lake and charged with DUI-alcohol.

Pusonjic was released pending an Oct. 28 court date.

Carlos Cruz Jimenez, 45, of Chicago, was arrested Sept. 25 near Route 176 and Ashford Drive in Green Oaks and charged with DUI-alcohol.

Jimenez was released pending a Nov. 18 court date.

Deiver D. Gil Avendano, 27, of Racine, Wisconsin, was arrested Sept. 25 near routes 41 and 21 in unincorporated Gurnee and charged with DUI-alcohol.

Avendano was released pending an Oct. 14 court date.

Brenda J. Choi, 37, of Round Lake, was arrested Sept. 26 in the 26200 block of West Grand Avenue in Ingleside and charged with DUI-alcohol.

Choi was released pending an Oct. 14 court date.

DUI

Osmar Benavidez Olivas, 31, of Waukegan, was arrested Sept. 27 in the 39200 block of North Green Bay Road in Beach Park and charged with DUI-alcohol.

Olivas was released pending an Oct. 28 court date.

BATTERY

Jack T. Derleth, 27, of Barrington, was arrested Sept. 25 in the 400 block of Route 22 in unincorporated Barrington and charged with battery.

Derleth was released pending an Oct. 26 court date.

OBSTRUCTING, RESISTING ARREST

Tyler F. Trexler, 32, who police listed as having no permanent address, was arrested Sept. 23 near Grass Lake Road and Lake Street in unincorporated Antioch.

Trexler was charged with obstructing a peace officer, resisting arrest and unlawful transportation of cannabis. He was released pending an Oct. 21 court date.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, OBSTRUCTING IDENTIFICATION

Jonathan R. Ferrigan, 55, of unincorporated Lake Villa, was arrested Sept. 23 in the 25500 block of West Glade Drive and charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing identification.

Ferrigan was released pending an Oct. 14 court date.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS

Bill J. Werling, 51, of Grayslake, was arrested Sept. 25 in the 31400 block of North Alleghany Road in unincorporated Grayslake and charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle, criminal trespass to property and disorderly conduct.

Werling was released pending an Oct. 7 court date.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS

Robert W. Griffiths, 36, of Libertyville, was arrested Sept. 26 in the 25900 block of North Riverwoods Road in Mettawa and charged with criminal trespass to property.

Griffiths was released pending an Oct. 21 court date.

CARELESS OPERATION OF A WATERCRAFT

Joseph Cvitovic, 63, of Fox Lake, was arrested Sept. 25 in Fox Lake and charged with careless operation of a watercraft and obstructing a peace officer.

Cvitovic was released pending an Oct. 28 court date.

WARRANT ARREST

Cory A. Wirt, 38, of Racine, Wisconsin, was arrested Sept. 22 near Route 59 and Dering Lane in unincorporated Lake Villa on a warrant involving unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license revoked.

Wirt was detained in the Lake County Jail on other charges and is due in court Oct. 15.

DOMESTIC BATTERY WARRANT

Justin J. Brooks, 47, of unincorporated Gurnee, was the subject of a warrant obtained Sept. 23 involving a domestic battery charge in the 16800 block of West Sibelius Lane, according to the sheriff’s office.

The detention status and court date were listed as to be determined.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY WARRANT

Michael T. Cashmore, 34, of Spring Grove, was arrested Sept. 26 in the 0-100 block of Route 12 in Fox Lake on a warrant involving criminal damage to property.

Cashmore was released pending an Oct. 22 court date.
