• Lake County plastic bag recycling program ending next year: 'It just didn't take off' (chicagotribune.com) — Deerfield residents who've been using the orange Hefty ReNew bags should know the Lake County plastic bag and Styrofoam recycling pilot will end June 30 due to limited end markets. Deerfield officials say participation here was strong, reflecting eco-conscious residents, but people will need to shift to store drop-offs like Jewel and Walmart for plastic bags.
