• Suburban Woman Dies After Being Pulled From Lake Michigan Near Grant Park (patch.com) — Residents of Des Plaines are learning that 34-year-old Martina Ronak Christian, who lived in the city, has been identified as the woman pulled from Lake Michigan near Monroe Harbor on Friday night. Chicago police marine officers recovered her from the water, and she was later pronounced dead at a hospital as authorities continue to investigate what happened.

• Motorcyclist From Des Plaines Dies In Crash On Oakton Street (journal-topics.com) — A 31-year-old Des Plaines resident died after their motorcycle collided with a Jeep SUV Saturday night at Oakton Street and First Avenue on Mount Prospect's south side, near Willoway Terrace. Oakton was closed for nearly six hours, and Mount Prospect police are asking any witnesses to call 847-818-5301 as their major crash team continues investigating.
