Man Arrested In Downtown Elmhurst Battery: Cops
In other cases, Elmhurst police charged four people with drug possession.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police have handled cases involving battery, drug possession, a solicitor without a permit and identity theft. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Battery
- A 19-year-old Stickney man was arrested on two battery counts. Police said the man committed battery about 9 p.m. May 17 in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue. At the time, one suspect was found, while the other two got away. The Stickney man was found Sunday. The man was released.
Drug possession

- A 22-year-old Carpentersville woman was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Sunday at Interstate 290 and Lake Street on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and speeding. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- A 36-year-old Aurora man was arrested shortly before noon Tuesday at Interstate 88 and York Street on two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He also received a speeding ticket. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- A 29-year-old Arlington Heights man and a 39-year-old Mount Prospect man were arrested about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at North Avenue and Interstate 294 on two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. The Mount Prospect man, who was the driver, was also cited on charges of following too closely and improper lane usage. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Soliciting without a permit
- A 19-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 15W200 block of Lexington Street was cited about 2 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of South Washington Street on a charge of soliciting without a permit.
Identity theft

- Al Piemonte Buick, 364 W. Grand Ave., informed police Tuesday that it was the victim of identity theft that occurred between Aug. 10 and Aug. 24, 2023. An investigation is pending.
Car fire
- A driver was alerted by others that smoke and flames were coming from his vehicle about 3 p.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of South York Street. The fire department put out the fire.
