Paschen to build the city's permanent Place of Remembrance, honoring victims and survivors of the July 4, 2022 shooting. Centered at the Rose Garden in Laurel Park with a secondary site at Port Clinton Plaza, the memorial follows a trauma-informed community process, with planning through 2026 and construction expected to begin in 2027.
