Homer Township Fire Holds Annual Open House
Held during Fire Prevention Week, the open house will feature kids activities and a chance to meet firefighters and check out fire equipment
HOMER GLEN, IL — The Homer Township Fire Protection District will hold an open house on Oct. 3, to recognize Fire Prevention Week.
The open house will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 16050 S. Cedar Road.
According to the fire district, families can come meet the firefighters, see fire engines and trucks and enjoy some kids activities.

There will also be demonstrations and discussions on a variety of topics, including medical demos, extrication demos, "close before you doze" demo, K-9 working dog, dive equipment, hands-only CPR, disaster preparedness info, and fire and battery safety.
