Lindsay Rozner Captured By Wilmington Police After Family's Facebook Plea Over Weekend, 21 Pending Charges

WILMINGTON, IL — A 40-year-old woman with strong ties to Wilmington is back in the Will County Jail facing 21 pending charges. Over the weekend, family members of Lindsay Marie Rozner shared information to a Wilmington community Facebook group urging people to be on the lookout for her. By Sunday night, Wilmington police captured her and she is now in the Will County jail for the first time this year.

She was booked into the Will County Jail in 2025 by four different police agencies: Shorewood, Crest Hill, Kankakee County and Will County. In addition, there is a YouTube video from last year shared by Illinois On Duty in which Dwight police arrested Rozner at a hotel in which she screams in the face of a police officer, "I am Jesus Christ's daughter! I am the law!" as the officer tries to calm her down. The YouTube video is titled, "She Claimed Divine Powers- Kicks Cop in Face. Gets Arrested!"

On Monday, Joliet Patch obtained some of the more noteworthy pending criminal complaints filed at the Will County Courthouse against Rozner.

One criminal complaint from August 3, 2025 charges Rozner with aggravated assault and battery in Crest Hill. The grand jury indictment indicates Rozner drove her vehicle directly at her intended target, a male victim, and she made physical contact with him, striking him.

In another Crest Hill police case from July 2025, Rozner was charged with criminal trespass, assault and disorderly conduct. In that complaint, Rozner stands accused of harming a different man. She threatened to burn the man while holding her cigarette lighter, court files show. She was also charged with illegally entering the man's apartment in the 2300 block of Centennial Avenue.

This past July 4th, Crest Hill police arrested her yet again. This time filing a criminal complaint charging Rozner with obstructing a police officer and resisting arrest. The complaint indicates Rozner "knowingly obstructed the performance of Officer Kaden" while "investigating a traffic stop, knowing Officer Kaden to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that said defendant refused to obey a lawful command to exit the vehicle" and knowingly resisted arrest by pulling her arms away from Officer Kaden."

The jail logs reflect the July 4 incident resulted in Rozner facing charges of having an open container of alcoholic beverages as the driver as well as disregarding a traffic light and improper traffic lane usage.

The Will County Jail lists Rozner's address as being the same apartment building in Crest Hill she is forbidden from visiting. This past weekend, several people shared comments to the Wilmington Facebook page that they were seeing her out and about around Wilmington approaching various people.

Now, she's back in the Will County Jail and there's no indication she is getting out.
