Lockport Man Turns Violent At Harrah's Casino, Joliet's Cops Called, Arrest Made: Police

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department responded to the nearby Harrah's Casino in downtown Joliet over the weekend and the call resulted in the arrest of Lockport's Timothy Lang on charges of battery and criminal trespass.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, the incident happened right before lunch on Saturday.

At 11:39 a.m., the officers responded to the Harrah’s Casino at 151 North Joliet Street for a man causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers located Lang, age 42, who had been
detained by casino security.

During the investigation, officers learned that Lang had approached casino security and requested assistance in arranging a ride. Lang reportedly became upset after security personnel advised him that he would need to arrange his own rideshare service using his phone. As a result of his behavior, Lang was directed to leave the property, English said.

"Lang then allegedly shoved a security guard and was detained by casino security until officers arrived," English announced.

Lang was placed into custody without further incident and charged with battery and criminal trespass. He was processed and released on a notice to appear in Will County court.
