1. Missing Joliet Man Found Safe After 7-Hour Search At Rock Run Rookery: Forest Preserve (patch.com) — Residents in Joliet can breathe easier after a 31-year-old local man who went missing during a Cornerstone Services group outing at Rock Run Rookery Preserve was found safe following a seven-hour search. Multiple agencies, including Joliet Fire and Will County Sheriff's Police, joined K-9 units, divers, helicopters, boats and drones before searchers on foot located him in heavy brush and sent him to a hospital for evaluation.
   

2. Joliet Losing 1 Starbucks Coffeeshop This Weekend As Part Of Company's Countrywide Downsizing (patch.com) — Coffee drinkers on Joliet's west side will soon lose the Houbolt Road Starbucks, which closes after Saturday as part of the company's nationwide downsizing. Other Joliet locations, including the newer West Jefferson Street store, will remain open, while previously discussed plans for a Starbucks near Costco and Olive Garden along Route 30 and I-55 have been dropped.
   

3. More Violent Behavior At McDonald's Restaurant On West Jefferson Street As Joliet Police Make Arrest: Cops (patch.com) — Joliet police were called late Tuesday night to the McDonald's at West Jefferson Street and Woodlawn Avenue, where a Chicago man was arrested after a reported domestic disturbance in a parked vehicle. Officers say they observed visible injuries on the woman before taking the suspect into custody and transferring him from the Joliet Police Department to the Will County jail, where he remained pending court proceedings.
   

4. $6.6 Million: Joliet Park District Finds Buyer For Splash Station Property, Abandoned In 2018 (patch.com) — Joliet residents could soon see the long-abandoned Splash Station water park site transformed, as the Joliet Park Board prepares to vote Monday on selling the Route 6 property to Prologis for $6.6 million. The deal, which follows years of vandalism and failed sale attempts, could give the Park District a major cash infusion and shape future community events after the end of Taste of Joliet.
   

5. Joliet Central wraps up likely playoff berth – the first in 50 years – with 12-7 win at Plainfield Central (shawlocal.com) — Joliet Central's football team has clinched its first state playoff berth in 50 years, beating Plainfield Central 12-7 in a dramatic road win. Players, coaches, and fans are celebrating a historic moment for the Steelmen and for Joliet's high school football community, with hopes that Joliet West and JCA will join them in the postseason.
