• Burglars target at least 8 businesses in Chicago's Southport Corridor (cbsnews.com) — A string of overnight burglaries hit at least eight businesses along the Southport Corridor in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, all clustered on a short stretch of Southport Avenue. Police are investigating whether these break-ins are connected to additional burglaries at three Avondale businesses early Tuesday, but have not yet confirmed any link or released detailed findings.
