• Will County Sheriff's Office responds to Lockport Township home with 'large police presence' (shawlocal.com) — A significant police response is underway late Wednesday in unincorporated Lockport Township's Fairmount area, with Will County sheriff's deputies concentrated in the 200 block of Dellwood Avenue. Residents are being urged to avoid the area for several hours while an investigation continues, and officials say more details are expected to be released on Thursday.
   

• Saying 'that's my shot,' Kris Caravantes curls in another trick goal as St. Laurence tops Lincoln-Way East (bnd.com) — St. Laurence's boys soccer team advanced in the Windy City Ram Classic and will face Lockport in Thursday's 6 p.m. championship at Reavis in Burbank. After a 4–1 semifinal win over Lincoln‑Way East, the Vikings will meet the unbeaten Porters, who edged De La Salle in a dramatic seven-round shootout to reach the title game.
   

• Search Continues For Missing Man After Vehicle Found in Great Smoky Mountains National Park (unofficialnetworks.com) — A Lockport resident, Marcin Bachleda‑Blaszczak, remains missing after his car was found at Great Smoky Mountains National Park's Sugarlands Visitor Center, where he was last known to be on August 22. Park rangers and partner agencies are expanding search efforts and asking anyone who was near Sugarlands that afternoon to review photos or videos for possible sightings.
