Tru Country Bar & Grill Targeted In Smash-and-Grab To Gaming Machines: New Lenox PD (patch.com) — A string of smash-and-grab burglaries has targeted New Lenox gaming businesses, including Tru Country Bar & Grill, Vino gaming café, and ReUnion Bar and Grill, with thieves breaking doors and raiding gaming machines. Police say the same crew may be linked to similar overnight hits in nearby Mokena and Palos Hills, and the investigation remains active.

New Lenox Extends Trick-or-Treat Hours For 2026: Village (patch.com) — Families in New Lenox can plan for extended trick-or-treating this Halloween, with village officials setting hours from 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturday. Mom hospitalized after 2-year-old son killed in 'domestic-related homicide': Police (lawandcrime.com) — A tragic case involving a 2-year-old's death in nearby Frankfort led first responders to rush the child to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, where he was pronounced dead. Police are investigating the incident as a domestic-related homicide and say the boy's mother, who allegedly tried to harm herself, is hospitalized while the Will-Grundy Major Crimes Task Force assists the ongoing investigation.
