• Techny Prairie Activity Center Waives Enrollment Fees Through September (patch.com) — Northbrook residents can join the Techny Prairie Activity Center this month without paying an enrollment fee, making it easier to access its fitness center, indoor track, and extensive group classes. The Northbrook Park District facility is also offering upcoming workshops on fall prevention, pelvic health, bone strength, and golf fitness, with membership options tailored to youth, teens, adults, and seniors.
   

• Northbrook's Claire Dillon Joins UW-Whitewater Volleyball Team (patch.com) — Northbrook volleyball fans have a local athlete to cheer for as Glenbrook North graduate Claire Dillon joins the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks for the 2026 season. The undeclared freshman from Northbrook will compete for a program coming off a strong 26-8 campaign and its 36th postseason appearance.
