• Northbrook Theatre for Young Audiences restaging some familiar productions for upcoming season (chicagotribune.com) — Families in Northbrook can look forward to a full 2026–27 season at Northbrook Theatre for Young Audiences, including interactive favorites "The Tale of the Whale" and "Across the Sand" plus "Pete the Cat" and "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." Shows run from September through April in the Park District's upgraded studio theater, with $18 tickets and more immersive, kid-friendly staging.
   

• Permission Granted For 16 Residential Units At 4943 North Damen Avenue In Ravenswood (chicagoyimby.com) — Northbrook-based entities 926 Oak Inc and Archway Builders are leading a new five-story, 16-unit condo project with ground-floor retail at 4943 N. Damen Avenue in Chicago's Ravenswood neighborhood. The development replaces a former brunch spot, adds a rooftop deck and bike storage, and follows demolition of the old one-story commercial building earlier this year.
