• Mobile DMV Is Coming To Troy Township (wjol.com) — A mobile DMV unit from the Illinois Secretary of State is coming to the Troy Township Community Center in Shorewood on October 6, offering license renewals, REAL IDs, state IDs, and plate stickers by appointment. Walk‑up help for organ and tissue donor registration and checking unclaimed ICash funds will also be available, giving Shorewood residents several state services in one convenient stop. 
• All-Americans Piazza and May lead Ferris volleyball attack (bigrapidsnews.com) — A standout from Shorewood sophomore outside hitter Gabby Piazza, has been named an AVCA Honorable Mention All‑American while helping lead Ferris State volleyball's nationally ranked program. Alongside fellow honoree Emily May and several key returners, she's expected to power another deep postseason run as the Bulldogs open their season at the Ferris Invitational.
