• St. Charles Electric Christmas Parade Seeks Entries For Holiday Celebration (patch.com) — St. Charles groups and businesses are invited to apply now to join this year's Electric Christmas Parade, a highlight of the city's two-day Holiday Homecoming celebration downtown. The Thanksgiving weekend festivities include a lighting ceremony, free holiday movie at the Arcada Theatre, Santa visits, and the illuminated parade along Main Street. Applications, fees, and insurance documents are due by Nov. 6.

(shawlocal.com) — High school football fans in St. Charles can see both East and North still fighting for postseason spots under the expanded IHSA playoff format. East, led by running backs Johnny Solano and Rowan Slovick, finishes with home games against Batavia and Geneva, while North must win against Glenbard North and Lake Park to avoid its first losing season since 2021.
