• Program examines anti-slavery movement in Kendall, Kane (chronicleillinois.com) — A free Sept. 24 program in nearby Montgomery will spotlight the Underground Railroad and anti-slavery movement in Kendall and Kane counties, featuring historian Eric Krupa from the St. Charles History Museum. Presenters will share stories of freedom seekers, local abolitionists, and historic sites across the western suburbs, offering St. Charles residents a chance to connect local places with a powerful chapter of American history.
