Tinley Chamber's Oktoberfest Back On For 2026

Oktoberfest is set for Sept. 18–20, now to be held at Harmony Square.

TINLEY PARK, IL — A year after it was nixed amid rising costs, a favorite local event is back on the books for 2026.

Tinley Oktoberfest is set to return to Tinley Park Sept. 18–20, with a relocation to Harmony Square, 6700 North St., chamber officials confirmed. Past Oktoberfest events had been held at the 80th Avenue Metra Train Station parking lot.

The fest typically spans three days, featuring authentic German food, beer, traditional and modern live music, ceremonial keg tapping and a carnival. Officials said at the time of cancelation in 2025 that they were hopeful the event would return in 2026.

"Join us as we celebrate a renewed tradition with a classic small-town Oktoberfest," the Chamber said. "Our goal is simple: to recreate the welcoming, family-friendly festival that so many residents remember and love in a place where neighbors gather, local businesses shine, and our community comes together. Expect great food, live music, local vendors, festive beverages, and activities for all ages, all in the heart of our downtown."

This year's event is "all about celebrating community, supporting local businesses, and creating new memories together.
