• Greenwood holds hearings over new zoning, development standards (dailyjournal.net) — Greenwood is overhauling its zoning and development rules, and residents can weigh in this fall on a new Unified Development Ordinance that will guide growth and housing for the next 15–20 years. City planners are responding to a new state law encouraging more diverse, higher-density housing while also prioritizing walkable neighborhoods like Old Town Greenwood and clearer, more user-friendly regulations for builders and neighbors alike.
   

• Amazon is putting more than $100 million into an Indiana robot factory with 300 skilled jobs (wheninyourstate.com) — Amazon is investing more than $100 million in a new robotics factory in Greenwood expected to open in 2028 and create about 300 skilled jobs averaging nearly $100,000 a year. The 585,000-square-foot plant on Collins Road will produce advanced equipment for Amazon's North American fulfillment network, tapping Indiana's strong manufacturing base and sending new paychecks rippling through Johnson County's economy.
