East Indianapolis memorial honors 8-year-old found dead at home (wishtv.com) — Neighbors on Indianapolis's east side gathered for a candlelight vigil outside the former South Bancroft Street home of 8-year-old Miracle Bryan, leaving flowers, toys, and messages to keep her memory alive. The event came just days after IMPD arrested her mother on drug and neglect-related charges, while investigators continue probing how the child died.

MAGIC IN HER CLASSROOM: Indianapolis teacher wins national award for 'messy, chaotic' civics lessons (indianacitizen.org) — An Indianapolis fifth-grade teacher at Kitley Intermediate in Franklin Township just earned one of only three national American Civic Education Teacher Awards for her hands-on civics lessons. Her students run mock Congresses, elections, and even write letters about local issues like potholes, giving Indianapolis kids an early, practical feel for citizenship and government.
   

5. Hoosier Lottery Mega Millions, Cash 5 winning numbers for Sept. 25, 2026 (pal-item.com) — Indianapolis lottery players can now check the Sept. 25 Mega Millions, Cash 5, and other Hoosier Lottery winning numbers, plus see how and where to claim prizes. Smaller wins can be redeemed at retailers, but bigger jackpots require visiting or mailing claims to Hoosier Lottery headquarters on North Meridian Street in Indianapolis within 180 days.
