During the moratorium, officials will revisit zoning rules, aiming to protect local waterways while balancing residents' concerns and large-scale development pressures.

Zionsville Town Council approves moratorium on data centers, wind and solar projects (youarecurrent.com) — Zionsville's Town Council has enacted a one-year moratorium on data centers, wind and solar farms, and battery storage projects while officials update zoning rules. During this pause, the planning department and plan commission will study where, if anywhere, such developments should go in town, with public hearings planned before any final decisions.

4. Indianapolis Children's Choir involves audience in Zionsville performance (youarecurrent.com) — A participatory Indianapolis Children's Choir concert is coming to Zionsville's STAR Bank Performing Arts Center on Sept. 27, inviting audience members to sing and learn alongside young performers. Inspired by former Zionsville music teacher Josh Pedde's interactive "In-formance" classes, the evening will showcase students from elementary through high school and let locals see how the singers grow over the season.
