Windsor United Methodist Church Finds New Home With Immanuel (iaumc.org) — Two longtime United Methodist congregations in Des Moines, Windsor and Immanuel, have formally joined together after Windsor voted to close its separate congregation and be adopted by Immanuel. Leaders say nearly all Windsor members stayed, worship attendance is growing, and shared ministries like meals and prison‑reentry support are expanding. Three additional measles cases confirmed in Iowa, HHS reports (who13.com) — State health officials in Des Moines report Iowa's measles total has climbed to 22 cases, with most infections in the southern part of the state and patients ranging from young children to adults. Residents in and around Des Moines are urged to watch for fever, rash, and other symptoms, and to call a healthcare provider or ER before arriving if measles is suspected.

From bulldogs to tigers: Meet America's live mascots (modbee.com) — Drake University in Des Moines is welcoming Griff III, a young English bulldog nicknamed Gus, as its new live mascot and "dog away from home" for students missing pets.
