Kentucky's 5th veterans nursing home opens in Bowling Green (wkyufm.org) — Bowling Green is now home to Kentucky's fifth veterans nursing home, a 60-bed facility in the Transpark offering private suites and skilled long-term care for area veterans. The Robert E. Spiller Veterans Nursing Home will employ up to 130 people, ease long drives for families across southern Kentucky, and may eventually expand to serve more than twice as many residents.
