City files complaint against Kentucky American Water (lexingtonky.gov) — Lexington city officials have filed a formal complaint against Kentucky American Water, accusing the utility of unreasonable construction practices that disrupt traffic, damage property, and delay projects on streets like Fontaine, North Limestone, and High. Mayor Linda Gorton says the city's concerns have been ignored and now wants state regulators to step in, warning that rising construction costs could ultimately hit local customers' bills. 
2. Lexington community grapples with third weekend of gun violence (wkyt.com) — Lexington is reeling after three consecutive weekends of deadly shootings, including a mass shooting at the East End Days festival and multiple killings since Friday night. Local psychologist Dr. Katherine Stone urges residents, especially parents, to watch for trauma symptoms, talk specifically with children about how they're coping, and seek support through therapists, schools, churches, or reputable online mental health resources.
3. Police investigate multiple crashes across Lexington (fox56news.com) — Lexington police are investigating three serious crashes from early Sunday, including a DUI wreck at Tates Creek and Old Mt. Tabor, a hit-and-run into Carpet Plaza on Russell Cave, and a fatal motorcycle crash on I-75 near mile marker 111. Several people were hospitalized, one person died, and interstate traffic was temporarily shut down before reopening.

Local advocates say thousands statewide could lose work authorization and protection from return to a war zone, and a new Nicholasville support center is planned to help families navigate the uncertainty.
