Lyric Theatre sees another leadership change in less than five years (spectrumnews1.com) — Lexington's historic Lyric Theatre is undergoing another leadership change as Executive Director Christian Adair departs after three years focused on welcoming East End residents and expanding community programming. The board says events and operations will continue during the transition, while Adair reflects on frequent director turnover and shifts his attention to entrepreneurship and his Male Mentor Institute youth program.
   

2. Lexington mayor to appoint panel to review license plate reader technology (fox56news.com) — Lexington's mayor is creating an independent panel this month to review the city's automated license plate reader system, focusing on privacy, best practices, and whether changes or a new vendor are needed. Officials say the 125 cameras have helped solve crimes and locate missing people, and the city has posted their locations online for residents to review.
   

3. Owen Riegling to Release IN THE FEELING Deluxe Edition Nov. 13, Tour This Fall (broadwayworld.com) — Country artist Owen Riegling is bringing his In The Feeling Tour to Lexington on October 3, with a show at The Burl. He's also releasing a deluxe edition of his acclaimed album in November, adding new songs and live tracks that build on his breakout success and recent award nominations.

Administrative Services Assistant (uky.edu) — A full-time Administrative & Business Services Coordinator role is open at the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment Business Center in Lexington, offering $17.76–$28.43 per hour. The position supports budgeting, HR initiatives, training, and office operations at the University of Kentucky, with strong benefits, mentoring, and professional development opportunities; applications are due by Sept. 11, 2026.
   

5. WKYT Investigates: UK doctor says DIPG cases in her hometown region prompted concern among specialists (wkyt.com) — A UK HealthCare pediatric neurosurgeon in Lexington is helping state and federal health officials investigate an unusually high number of rare, deadly pediatric brain cancer cases in Eastern Kentucky. She explains why DIPG is inoperable, how quickly it progresses, and how UK researchers and government partners are now collaborating to better understand and confront the cluster.
