• 'A sign of excellence': West End School builds on first year as coed school (wlky.com) — West End School in west Louisville is now in its second year as a coed program, expanding a new state-of-the-art campus that will eventually serve about 300 students through eighth grade. Families and staff say adding girls has transformed the school's culture, and leaders hope their model of high expectations and strong support will help change educational outcomes across west Louisville.
   

• Trinity students to return to classrooms, Wednesday (wave3.com) — Trinity High School in the Louisville area plans to resume in-person classes Wednesday after canceling Tuesday's sessions due to a social media threat. Police say the threat originated outside St. Matthews' jurisdiction, and authorities statewide are warning that AI-generated "Cat in the Hat" posts targeting schools are being taken seriously, with juveniles already charged in similar Kentucky cases.
   

• 84 Van Halen Tribute at Mercury Ballroom (iheart.com) — Louisville rock fans can catch the 84 Van Halen Tribute tonight at Mercury Ballroom, with the show starting at 8 p.m. This all-ages concert in the intimate, historic downtown venue promises a high-energy, David Lee Roth-era setlist, giving locals a stadium-style rock experience without leaving the city, and tickets are still available online.
