Residents needing help can call 2-1-1 for local resources.
   

2. Shively police, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office team up to curb dangerous driving (wlky.com) — Louisville-area drivers are seeing stepped-up patrols as Shively police and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office target speeding and distracted driving on Dixie Highway and nearby streets. Louisville family who had son through IVF starts non-profit to help others do the same (wave3.com) — A Louisville couple who welcomed their son through IVF has launched a nonprofit, Footprints of Hope, to help other families afford fertility treatments. Founder Matthew Thomas, a quadriplegic, plans to offer application-based grants and partner with Kentucky fertility clinics, while also working to normalize non-traditional paths to parenthood in the Louisville community.
