The shop also creates jobs for people completing recovery and housing support, including a newly promoted store manager who advanced through the organization's programs.

LMPD asking for help identifying man believed to be victim of crime (wlky.com) — Louisville Metro Police are asking residents to help identify a man they believe is the victim of a crime, after his photo was recovered from a stolen trail camera. Seventh Division detectives, covering Fern Creek, Highview and Okolona, hope someone recognizes him and calls the anonymous tip line to move the investigation forward.

Man injured after crash involving SUV, construction truck on I-71 North in Louisville (wdrb.com) — Two serious crashes on I-71 North in Louisville Friday night sent a man to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and left a woman critically hurt after her car flipped over a guardrail near Frankfort Avenue. Police briefly blocked all northbound lanes near Zorn Avenue during the SUV–construction truck crash, but the right lane has since reopened.

Louisville clinical therapist reports more people seeking help for addiction; overdose deaths drop in Kentucky (wave3.com) — Louisville therapists are seeing more people seek help for addiction as Kentucky's overdose deaths continue to decline from their peak just a few years ago. On National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day, experts highlight the dangers of fentanyl-laced street drugs, stress using Narcan and testing supplies, and urge residents to educate themselves and reach out for treatment.
   

5. Louisville defense flips the script in second scrimmage of fall camp (wdrb.com) — Louisville football's defense dominated the team's second fall camp scrimmage, correcting the big-play issues that worried head coach Jeff Brohm a week ago. The offense struggled with turnovers and physicality, while eligibility uncertainty for several defensive players continues as the Cardinals shift focus toward their Sept. 6 opener against Ole Miss in Nashville.
