• September heat wave set some all-time records in the region (westkentuckystar.com) — Paducah just endured its hottest September 1–5 on record, with heat index values peaking at 110 degrees and several long-standing records across western Kentucky falling. While the worst of the heat has eased, forecasters warn another near-105-degree heat index is possible Wednesday before rain chances increase Wednesday night into Thursday, finally offering some relief. 
• Hui Finishes As Runner-Up At Season-Opening Tournament (loyolaramblers.com) — Paducah will host college golfers next week when Loyola Chicago's women's team comes to town for The Velvet Classic, a two-day tournament Sept. 14–15 hosted by Murray State. The Ramblers are coming off a strong season-opening performance in Michigan, highlighted by junior Hui's runner-up finish and career-best score, setting up an exciting event for local golf fans.
• Power Is No Longer an Input in Data Centers. It Is the Product. (commercialobserver.com) — Redevelopment of Paducah's former gaseous diffusion plant into an AI data center and energy campus shows how the site's existing power, water, and fiber infrastructure still carry major value. The piece explains how such "digital dirt" makes Paducah attractive for large-scale technology projects as power availability increasingly drives where data centers are built.
