Nicholls Dining Fuels a Summer of Success for National Camps and Conferences
Nicholls Dining delivered quality meals & exceptional hospitality, helping nationally recognized camps & conferences run smoothly all summer

Thibodaux, Louisiana — Each summer, Nicholls State University welcomes thousands of visitors to campus for nationally recognized camps and special programs. Athletes, students and youth participants come for unique educational and leadership experiences. Many teams work behind the scenes to ensure every day runs smoothly. One of those teams is the Nicholls Dining team.
Over the course of the summer, Nicholls Dining supported many events, with the three major summer camps being Manning Passing Academy, Louisiana Line Camp, and BYU For the Strength of Youth Conference. Thousands of meals were served across these camps while providing efficient service, quality food and welcoming hospitality that helps make Nicholls a trusted destination for large-scale programs.
"Our team takes pride in creating an experience that allows these camps and conferences to succeed year after year," the Nicholls Dining team said. "Whether we're serving elite athletes or youth leaders, every guest deserves great food, outstanding service and a positive campus experience."
Manning Passing Academy Celebrates 30 Years
One of the highlights of the summer was the 30th anniversary of the Manning Passing Academy and its 22nd year at Nicholls State University.
Each year, the academy brings together more than 1,500 high school and middle school quarterbacks and wide receivers, NCAA quarterbacks, coaches and football families from across the country.
This year's attendees included Archie, Cooper, Peyton and Eli Manning, 46 of the nation's top NCAA quarterbacks, and approximately 100 coaches representing programs from states across the nation.
Throughout the three-day academy, Nicholls Dining served 7,400 meals, preparing more than 8,500 pounds of food, more than 700 gallons of sauces and side dishes, 1,736 gallons of beverages, and more than 32,000 individual food items.
The operation included thousands of made-from-scratch breakfast items, more than 1,200 handmade hamburgers, hundreds of pounds of proteins and vegetables, nearly 500 pizzas and more than 5,100 desserts.
Beyond the dining hall, Chick-fil-A and Smoothie King remained open throughout the academy, offering additional dining options for athletes, coaches and visiting families. The dining team also participated in the Welcome Reception alongside more than 40 local vendors, helping welcome guests as they arrived on campus.

Louisiana Line Camp Keeps Athletes Fueled
Earlier in the summer, Nicholls Dining welcomed approximately 800 participants for the annual Louisiana Line Camp.
Over four days, the team served eight meals, preparing 9,300 pounds of food, 595 gallons of beverages, and 6,100 plates while keeping athletes, coaches and trainers moving through the dining hall efficiently between practices.
The camp organizers praised the dining operation on social media, writing:
"NSU dining got our players, coaches and trainers in and fed with no waiting. Truly an efficient operation with a staff full of friendly and accommodating people. Thank you for enhancing our camp experience."
Parents shared similar praise, with one commenting that their son returned home with nearly all of the snacks they had packed because "all the meals were great."

Welcoming the BYU For the Strength of Youth Conference
Nicholls also hosted the BYU For the Strength of Youth (FSY) Conference, welcoming approximately 800 youth participants and leaders to campus.
The weeklong conference focused on leadership, personal growth, faith and relationship building through classes, activities and group experiences, while introducing participants to campus life at Nicholls.
Throughout the conference, Nicholls Dining provided meals and hospitality services for approximately 800 guests, delivering the same quality, efficiency and welcoming service that has become a hallmark of the university's summer programs.
The FSY Conference rounded out a busy season of camps and conferences, demonstrating Nicholls' ability to host groups with different missions while consistently providing an exceptional campus experience.

A Summer Defined by Hospitality
Although each event had its own purpose—from developing elite football talent to encouraging youth leadership and personal growth—they all shared one common need: dependable dining that keeps guests energized and schedules running on time.
Across the three major summer events, the Nicholls Dining team served well over 15,000 meals to thousands of visitors while preparing tons of food and thousands of gallons of beverages. Every breakfast, lunch and dinner reflected months of planning, careful coordination and a commitment to hospitality.
As another summer season comes to a close, the numbers tell only part of the story. The lasting impact comes from the experience created for every camper, coach, family member and conference participant who leaves campus with a positive impression of Nicholls State University.
Year after year, those experiences continue to make Nicholls a destination for nationally recognized camps and conferences—and the dining team is proud to play an essential role in their success.
