Avoid Section Of Ma And Pa Connector Trail During Extension Project (patch.com) — Bel Air residents who use the Ma and Pa Connector Trail should be prepared for a longer closure as engineers address vibration issues with the new pedestrian bridge and other site complications. The section from the North Avenue trailhead to the tunnel under the bypass remains off-limits except to authorized personnel, but once fixes are complete, the extended trail will link Bel Air more fully with Forest Hill and Fallston.
   

2. Dog Park Temporarily Closes In Bel Air For Improvements (patch.com) — Dog owners in Bel Air should note that the small-dog side of the Ma and Pa Dog Park at Heavenly Waters Park will close for about two weeks while a new shade structure is installed. The large-dog area will stay open, and officials say the donated structure, offered at a discount, will improve comfort at this popular spot near the Bel Air Trail.
   

3. Furniture Business Remains Opens After Warehouse Fire In Jarrettsville (patch.com) — Harford County residents who shop at Jarrettsville Furniture are being reassured that the company's Bel Air showroom remains open after a major warehouse fire in Jarrettsville caused about $1 million in damage. The owner says the Bel Air location can still assist customers while they work through smoke and water damage issues and contact affected clients individually.
   

4. Veteran Spotlight: Matthew Scales (wmar2news.com) — A Coast Guard veteran who now works for the Maryland Department of Agriculture lives in Bel Air with his wife and three children, bringing his public service experience back home.
