Grosvenor-Strathmore, Medical Center, Bethesda Metrorail stations to reopen on Labor Day (washingtontimes.com) — Red Line riders in Bethesda will see their station reopen on Labor Day after months of construction that added a new mezzanine for the future Purple Line and refreshed the platform. Shuttle buses and temporary bus-only lanes on Route 355 will end as traffic lanes and street parking are restored, following data showing no need to keep the bus lanes permanently.

Judge criticizes Trump pressure on prosecutors on reflecting pool vandalism charges (floridaphoenix.com) — A Bethesda resident, Olympian David Hearn, is at the center of a high-profile D.C. court case over alleged damage to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, with a judge questioning Trump administration pressure on prosecutors. The outcome could determine whether new felony charges can be refiled after an earlier dismissal, drawing attention from local supporters and Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin.
