• Site Of Longtime Bethesda Eatery Sells For $7M: Report (patch.com) — Bethesda diners will soon see a big change at 7715 Woodmont Ave., where the long-running Woodmont Grill closed last fall. The 6,300-square-foot space has sold for $7 million to D.C. restaurateur Steve Salis, who plans to open Maryland's flagship Ted's Bulletin there next year, bringing a new dining anchor to downtown.
   

• Henry M. Jackson Foundation Wins $11.5M Defense Health Contract for TBI Research Support (envzone.com) — Bethesda-based Henry M. Jackson Foundation has secured an $11.5 million Defense Health Agency contract to support traumatic brain injury research and clinical guidance for military care. While much of the work will occur in Silver Spring and other sites, the award underscores Bethesda's role in advancing brain health tools, training, and guidelines for service members worldwide.
   

• Gyms Abruptly Close In Maryland After Owner Files For Bankruptcy (patch.com) — An F45 gym in Bethesda is among the Maryland locations that remain open after Mad Fitness Group, the franchise owner, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and shut several studios. The company plans to close or sell about half its locations while reorganizing those that can stay profitable, so Bethesda members should watch for possible future changes.
