K9 Hunts Down Discarded Weapon Tossed By Suspect
A suspect attempting to outrun Laurel police officers tossed a gun. K9 Zeke was deployed to track down the weapon, which he quickly found.

LAUREL, MD — K9 Zeke proved recently that his sniffer can detect more than just criminals.
On April 15, Laurel police officers were notified of an armed suspect who had threatened a resident. Responding officers found the suspect near the scene, but the suspect took off. Officers pursued the suspect on foot and were able to apprehend him, according to the police department.
However, the weapon used by the suspect wasn't on the suspect's body. So K9 Zeke was deployed to conduct a scent track.
