Man Charged In 'Violent' Assault On Woman After Argument About $20
A man has been charged with second-degree attempted murder after sheriff's deputies say he violently assaulted a woman over $20.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The man wanted in a domestic assault incident that happened in February has been arrested and charged in what police called a "violent physical altercation."
The assault happened Feb. 25. Prince George's sheriff's deputies responded to a report of domestic assault. The investigation revealed that a man and a woman argued over $20, which escalated into the assault, according to the sheriff's office.
According to the victim, the suspect, George Fadero, repeatedly struck her in the face with a closed fist before choking her until she lost consciousness. When she regained consciousness, the suspect had fled the scene. The victim sustained visible injuries, including bruising to her neck and left eye, according to the sheriff's office.

Detectives with the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office tracked down Fadero and arrested him. He has been charged with attempted second-degree murder.
