Motorcyclist Killed In Collision With Car In Lanham

LANHAM, MD — A 36-year-old motorcyclist died after he collided with a vehicle early Sunday morning.

The incident happened at 3:45 a.m. in the area of Greenbelt Road and Aerospace Road. Prince George's officers found Alonzo Bibines 3rd of Glenn Dale in the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Bibines was heading westbound on Greenbelt Road while the driver of a sedan was traveling eastbound on Greenbelt Road. Bibines collided with the sedan as the driver was making a left-hand turn onto Aerospace Road, detectives stated.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Investigators ask that anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has dash camera or home surveillance footage that may have captured the incident contact the Prince George’s County Police Department.
