• Bowie man's last-minute lottery ticket turns into $59K jackpot surprise (newsbreak.com) — A longtime Bowie resident and Prince George's County correctional officer turned his last $3 into a $59,054 FAST PLAY jackpot after a routine gas stop, and he and his wife plan to put the winnings toward college costs. The prize, claimed this week, also closed out the Maryland Lottery's SLINGO FAST PLAY game and earned a bonus for the Capitol Heights gas station that sold the ticket.
