Suspect Sought In Adelphi Fatal Shooting

ADELPHI, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Tuesday night in Adelphi.

Prince George's police officers were called to the 9300 block of 19th Avenue around 10:45 p.m. for a report of a shooting. They found 31-year-old Jose Sermeno Gomez of Bryantown outside with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he died, according to police.

Investigators are working to identify the suspect(s) and determine a motive. Anyone with information who would like to speak to a detective is asked to call 301-516-2512.
